Extra Curricula Opportunities

We acknowledge the broad range of skills and interests that students bring to school and the staff faciliate a variety of activities that allow the students to explore and develop.

Sport : The school participates in the state knockout competition for boys and girls in touch football, cricket, netball, rugby league and soccer.

There is opportunity to represent the school at gala days in AFL, rugby league, touch football and netball.

Students 8 years+ have the opportunity to represent at zone, regional and state levels in swimming, cross country and athletics.  The PSSA offer an extensive range of sports. Stage 3 students are given the opportunity to represent the zone, region or state through these PSSA trials.

Year 2 students particpate annually in a 10 day intensive swimming program funded by the School Sports Unit. A similar program is available for our students with special needs.

Creative and Performing Arts : Every year the school participates in the Hunter Central Coast Region StarStruck performance in dance and drama. Talented students have the opportunity to audition for featured artist roles in singing, dance, drama and band. 

Dance2bfit lessons are taught across the school every year, with every second year culminating in a whole school concert.

The school has a band and a choir who perform at school events and are featured in the school concert. Small group specialist tuition is provided in keyboard, guitar and vocals.

Lunch Time Clubs: During lunch times, a variety of lunch time clubs are on offer for the students. These change throughout the year and include coding, virtual escape rooms, singing, communications, lego, cartooning, art.

Public Speaking and Debating: All students participate in the school public speaking competition. Students then have the opportunity to represent the school at zone, regional and state levels. 

Year 5 students are part of the train-on debating team who compete against other schools in a competition. This competition prepares students for the Premiers Debating Competition in Year 6.
